Spring 2023: Solid-State Physics (PHYS 7636)
Prerequisites: Introductory graduate level quantum mechanics and statistical mechanics. A prior course in solid-state physics is helpful but not required. Undergraduate students are welcome to register for the course, after discussing with the instructor.
Overview: This is an advanced graduate level course that will discuss an assortment of advanced topics in modern condensed matter physics. The aim of this course is to enable students to develop (i) a conceptual understanding of various many-body phenomena observed in experiments in quantum materials, and (ii) a variety of technical skills.
